YYYYYY SUBDIVISION Support Site
Flash Tour

1
Audio
Music.

Visual
Logo appears, spins. The background is the corporate color.

2
Audio
"Welcome to the SUBDIVISION Support Site Tour." The narrator is female, contralto, precise, with a slight British accent. Her cool measured tones will contrast with the slightly goofy animations.

Visual
The PRODUCT looms into view. Doors and lid open to show the interior.

3
Audio
"The Support Site lets SUBDIVISION's customers find information about PRODUCT systems quickly and efficiently. The site provides downloadable software, documentation, Frequently Asked Questions, and more."

Visual
Software code streams down left side of the screen, running off the bottom. White curled pages of documentation flutter down the right side. Big question marks in different colors fade in and out at the center.

4
Audio
"At any time, you can click the pop-up menu to jump to the section you want."

Visual
Pop-up menu winks into place. Buttons light up one by one.

5
Audio
"The site is available all day, all hours, from all over the world."

Visual
Clock with spinning hands. A streamer of flags from all nations whirls in from the right, spirals around in a helix, and flits off screen.

6
Audio
"And now, the details..."

Visual
Web page fades into view. DOCUMENTATION button is highlighted. The background is purple. (The background cycles through the rainbow with each topic change, emphasizing the new area. Thus the demo starts with a dark background and proceeds to a light background by the end. This color scheme subtly/subconsciously reinforces where the user is at all times.)

7
Audio
"All our test documentation..."

Visual
A HUGE stack of manuals drops into view and slams down so hard it rocks the screen.

8
Audio
"... is available on-line. There are manuals, bulletins, alerts, retrofits, checker variances, application notes, white papers, and hardware specs - all downloadable."

Visual
The stack magically fragments into ones and zeroes and flies like a swarm of bees onto the web site.

9
Audio
Music.

Visual
Background shifts to blue, signalling the next topic. Web page fades into view. FAQ button is highlighted.

10
Audio
"Frequently Asked Questions are available at the click of a button. The list will be updated regularly."

Visual
Questions in different colors stream in from left and right, cross the screen, and run off the opposite side. So many questions they overwrite one another.

Text for questions:
- Is it possible to dual boot the ABC N.0 operating system?
- Can hard drives be swapped from one computer to another in the event of a hard drive crash?
- MORE
- MORE
- MORE

Some questions are goofy.
- Does the PRODUCT come in pink?
- Will the PRODUCT float?
- What's the difference between a PRODUCT and an elephant?
- How many engineers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
- Where did I leave my car keys?
- How can I get a date on Saturday night?
- MORE

11
Audio
"Both customers and YYYYYY employees can submit F-A-Qs. You can search F-A-Qs by keyword."

Visual
A form field is blank, then letters type into it. (The typing is slow hunt-and-peck typing. One letter is mistyped, backspaced, and retyped.): p-o-w-e-r s-u-p-p-l-y. The SUBMIT button blinks. A line of FAQs then scroll underneath and off the screen.

12
Audio
Music.

Visual
Background shifts to red, signalling next topic. Web page fades into view. INTERFACE button is highlighted.

13
Audio
"The PRODUCT Interface is where the PRODUCT is adapted for different uses around the world."

Visual
Skeleton globe fades into view. All over it, at various YYYYYY sites, are winking points of colored light.

14
Audio
"The Interface Group has experts from all fields to help customers modify the PRODUCT for local conditions."

Visual
The colored lights fade out. The inside of the globe is cut out like a round window. We see the room full of engineers all busy at work, or a closeup of three or four people poring over some piece of test equipment.

15
Audio
"Our web site helps you figure out what modifications you need. It provides specifications, drawings, photographs, theory, procedures, and anything else you need."

Visual
The web page reappears. The INTERFACE button is still highlighted. Now a sub-menu appears at the top, glowing: Overview, Current Line, Software, Current Projects, Project Request.

16
Audio
"The Current Line tells you which integration solutions are available."

Visual
Now the L3 menu appears at the right: Overview, Interface Overview, Solutions Gallery, Product Matrix. The first choice, Overview, glows. Sample pictures of tester manipulators and other gadgets slide from left to right, right to left.

17.
Audio
"The Interface Overview explains the theory behind YYYYYY's Coupling and Docking, then gives you step-by-step instructions."

Visual
The L3 menu item Interface Overview glows. The display is the Acrobat page for PRODUCT Kinematic Docking System Mechanical Alignment Process, which has a photo of a machine partly disassembled.

(And so on, 50 frames total.)
